Think about how many fishing videogames are out there. But have you ever heard about a true spearfishing game?

Imagine a stylized 2.5D underwater world, which tries to simulate the core mechanics of freediving and spearfishing with realistic physics.

Imagine a Monster Hunter-like experience, but your prey lives underwater and you need to hold your breath to approach it. All of this, easily accessible from your PC.

Deep Breath is a Spearfishing 2.5D game prototype who tries to deliver both a simulative and arcade-ish experience. It aims to take into account all the main aspects of this extreme sport and use them to design interesting and challenging game mechanichs. 

Some examples are:

• Dynamic buoyancy physics during the dive depending on your Equipment.
• Dynamic oxygen/stamina draining based on player movements.
• Fish AI sensible to player presence and movements.
